Blackjack O-Hare by scarypet Blackjack O-Hare by scarypet
for THIS MARVEL VILLAINS ARTJAM (clicky clicky)

BlackJack O-Hare first appeared in Incredible Hulk #271.
Yes. I know. He's a bunny. In fact he's the leader of the notorious Black Bunny Brigade.

O'Hare has many of the same attributes of
an average rabbit except for his intellect which
enables him to speak, among other things such
as use advanced weaponry and carry out complex
tasks with extreme precision.
He, unlike other rabbits, can walk upright.

He was also a really annoying villain/general character in the short Rocket Raccoon series from the 80's.

Blackjack was the leader of the Black Bunny Brigade. The Brigade was hired by the devious Judson Jakes to steal the most prized relic of Halfworld, the Gideon Bible. He was successful in stealing the Bible and he kidnapped Rocket Raccoon's girlfriend, Lylla the Otter on the way. The Hulk helped Rocket and Rocket's best friend Wal Rus defeat Jakes and his posse of killer clowns to recover both Lylla and the Bible.

I think I like your version better; he looks much more dangerous than the comic books had him. ;P Seriously, though, he fought the Hulk? He's got guts, I'll give him that! ;P

hhmmm dunno about the story i think he didn't really fight the hulk but rather acted in a parallel story... was just introduced in that issue of hulk.. but i'm just speculating :)

Ummm, wow. Just when I thought that the fine folks at Marvel coldn't do anymore drugs, along comes Halfworld.

Once again, I'd almost forgive them if the artwork looked like this.

hahah it's just a head... what usually takes long is those complete scenes with backgrounds and multiple figures :)

Good point, maybe I should start out practicing some portraits first before I start on doing scenes instantly. :P

it depends :) i started out with comics style art back in high school.. then i practiced animals, before moving on to characters and scenes :) find what you think is fun to do! :)

Cool, explains why BlackJack is so well made!

I'm trying to create some arts for a ''world'' I'm currently working on, but with my lack of skill on digital art makes it quite hard to do so.

Do you perhaps have a few tips?

it's good to learn digital techniques, but in my opinion, lots of experience in traditional work allows for better work in digital, so whenever possible always find time to draw/doodle on paper! i've been doing digital for a few years only.. around 3 years only i think.. but before that i had no idea at all on how to draw on the computer.. all my practice was with paper, pens and paint!
