Just wanted to say that you made an awesome tutorial and video.^^ They are both very helpful!
But I was wondering if you would mind answering a question for me? The tutorial was done in photoshop, so I'm assuming the video is as well. Now at around 1:11 just after you drew the rocks/mountains (and with some other things as well, like the sky), you use something that looks like a blending tool. As far as I know photoshop doesn't have one, so I was wondering what brush (or technique) you used to accomplish what you did there? Or did you happen the do it with a different program?
I'm trying to do your tutorial for several days, but i'm quite not as awesome as you XD (I could never finish this in 15 minutes) Furthermore i wanted to ask you one thing about your video. Around 11:50, when you drew the smoke and steam did you use the smudge tool, to achieve this cloudy look? Or did you use a special brush (or both). Well when i try, it only looks like weird black or white goo squirting out of those cracks....
yes i used both a special brush and smudges. You have to draw it on a separate layer and try changing various settings of the smudge tool til you get what looks ok
