This is an amazing piece and so under appreciated! The lighting is done properly, the green/yellow is a nice touch. The subtle background fits so well without distracting from the main subject.
How long did it take? (approx) and did you do it on one, or many, layers?
took about 6 hours (because i kept getting distracted with food and tv) aand.. the actual painting was done with 4 layers, and other efffects were made on 3 more layers
Only 6 hrs!... Wow most of my art is not even half done by that time Sorry for more question's but... do you use the default set of brushes or some special ones?
Again sorry for being nosey but I'm having a hard time with my art lately and its starting to get me down... so I'm asking some artists how they do it
One more (last one i promise) Did you have a sketch scanned in or work from scratch?
oh, well i son't use actual default brushes - for the coloring and shading, i use brushes which i have tweaked from the basic brushes (adjusted hardness, repeat distances, etc...)... and for some minor effects and other stuff, i sometimes use custom brushes which i make or which i downloaded...
aaand, SOMETIMES i work from scratch - drafting it in photoshop.. but usually, i have a scanned pencil sketch..
